1. This application is processed in accordance with Official Letter No. Zhongshan-Zhen-115001, dated January 15, 2026, issued by the Sun Yat-sen Academic and Cultural Foundation (Appendix 1).

2. This Award is established to recognize nationals for outstanding scholarly achievements in the fields of the humanities and social sciences, natural sciences, and specialized studies on Dr. Sun Yat-sen and his ideology. Eligible works include scholarly books or academic papers published in renowned domestic or international academic journals within the past three years (from June 1, 2023, to May 31, 2026). The selected work must demonstrate originality and scholarly innovation. One most outstanding work shall be selected. Works that are primarily compilations, translations, or textbooks are not eligible. Further details are provided in Appendix 2.

3. Candidates for this Award may be recommended by the University President, Dean, or Department/Graduate Institute Chair. Applicants seeking nomination through the University shall, by May 11, 2026 (Monday), submit the University/College/Department Recommendation Application Form (Appendix 3), the Academic Publication Award Application Form (Appendix 4), and three copies of the submitted scholarly work (for works in a foreign language, a Chinese title and Chinese abstract must also be provided) to the Center for Teaching Development, Office of Academic Affairs for compilation. Upon approval by the University President, the application shall be formally submitted to the Foundation.
