This matter is handled in accordance with the letter No. 1150740196 dated January 2, 2026, issued by the Chinese Institute of Engineers (CIE) (Attachment 1).

Eligibility for nominees for the “Outstanding Engineering Professor Award” of the Chinese Institute of Engineers requires that candidates be individual members of the Institute and full-time professors, associate professors, or assistant professors in engineering-related departments at public or private colleges or universities in Taiwan. Candidates must not have previously received this award. The selection guidelines are provided in Attachment 2.

Faculty members who wish to apply through university recommendation are requested to submit their applications via recommendation by their respective department (institute) and college. By 5:00 PM on Thursday, February 26, 2026, please prepare and submit one copy each of the university’s college/department award recommendation application form (Attachment 3), recommendation letter (Attachment 4), supporting documents, and relevant materials to the Center for Teaching and Learning Development, Office of Academic Affairs, for consolidation. After obtaining the President’s approval for recommendation, the application will be formally submitted to the Institute.
