This matter is handled in accordance with Letter No. 114001, dated January 10, 2025, issued by the Sun Yat-sen Academic and Cultural Foundation, Republic of China (Attachment 1).

This award is intended to recognize works by ROC nationals in the fields of the humanities and social sciences, natural sciences, and specialized studies on Dr. Sun Yat-sen and his思想 (thought and philosophy). Eligible works include academic books published or demonstrated by papers published in well-known domestic or international academic journals within the past three years (from June 1, 2022, to May 31, 2025). The work must demonstrate originality and innovation, and only the single most outstanding work will be selected. General compilations, translations, and textbooks are excluded. Details are provided in the Guidelines (Attachment 2).

This award allows nominations by the University, college deans, or department (institute) chairs. Applicants seeking nomination through the University are requested to prepare and submit the University’s college/department award recommendation application form (Attachment 3), the Academic Publication Award application form (Attachment 4), and three copies of the submitted work by the end of business hours on Monday, May 12, 2025. For works in a foreign language, a Chinese title and Chinese abstract must also be provided. All materials should be submitted to the Center for Teaching and Learning Development, Office of Academic Affairs, for consolidation. Upon approval by the University leadership, the application will be formally submitted to the Foundation.
